Artists

Jeremy Flick’s work celebrates pops of color with the application of hard edges. He has truly mastered this technique by adopting minimalist strategies and a highly controlled approach.

Matthew Grimes' works came out of his experience living near Santiago, Chile. They are mainly comprised of torn and decaying street posters (carteles) that are then layered along with house paint, spray paint and other mixed media.
Bill Hill has been a practicing artist in DC for some decades and has developed an exquisite color vocabulary. He shares many of his artistic experiences with the mid-20th century Washington Color School painters.

Andrew Hudson’s art and writing have been internationally
recognized. As an art critic to the Washington Post he reviewed Gerald Nordland’s pivotal show of the Washington Color School painters in 1965.

Barbara Januszkiewicz whose work touches upon and ultimately deviates from that of Morris Louis, was challenged several years ago by the last surviving Color School artist Paul Reed (now recently
deceased) to paint on canvas rather than paper.
